Pollinator Network Robustness: 2D Bipartite Map
Interactive 2D top-down map of a nested plant-pollinator bipartite network: remove species by strategy (random, generalists-first, specialists-first), watch secondary co-extinctions cascade through the survivors, and read the attack-tolerance curve directly as a live plotted graph.
This is the 2D counterpart to the 3D pollinator-network simulator, built from an independently computed nested bipartite network rather than a flattened render of the 3D ring layout. Plants line a top row and pollinators a bottom row; links follow the same rank-based nestedness formula used in real ecological studies of meadow pollination webs. Remove species one at a time under three strategies — random loss, generalists-first, or specialists-first — and watch secondary co-extinctions cascade through the survivors while connectance, an NODF-style nestedness score, and the network's overall robustness update live. A plotted attack-tolerance curve beneath the map, native to the 2D view, shades the area that the robustness score actually measures so the number and the graph tell the same story.
Top-down 2D companion to the nested plant-pollinator network simulator: remove species by strategy (random, generalists-first, specialists-first), watch co-extinction cascades propagate, and read the attack-tolerance curve directly as a shaded, live-plotted graph.
