Marine Protected Area Recovery Model (2D)

2D top-down ocean grid: a central no-take zone shields fish biomass from fishing pressure while cells outside stay depleted, and spillover glows briefly just past the protected border.

This 2D companion drives the same protection-vs-pressure mechanic as the 3D version through a plain top-down grid: a square no-take zone sits at the centre, sized by the MPA coverage slider, and biomass in every cell relaxes toward a target set by whether it sits inside that zone. Cells just outside the border pick up a small spillover bonus that fades with distance, the same effect that lets real MPAs boost catches just past their edge.
