This 2D companion drives the same twin-landscape population model as the 3D original on a plain top-down canvas: two ring layouts of habitat patches run side by side, one isolated and one linked by corridors, and every patch's fill colour tracks its genetic diversity while small glowing dots trace migrants crossing a corridor. Adjust patch count, corridor migration rate and simulation speed, then trigger a disaster and watch which landscape recovers.
