2D competitive-logistic ecosystem lab: live population bars for up to eight species, driven by the same Lotka-Volterra dynamics as the 3D original, plus a scrolling Shannon-diversity time series so you can watch richness, habitat health and disturbance shape the community in real time.
This 2D companion strips the 3D "Biodiversity" ecosystem down to the numbers behind it: the same competitive logistic (Lotka-Volterra) equations govern up to eight species, but instead of instanced creatures drifting inside a dome, a live bar chart shows each species' population climbing toward — or getting pushed away from — the shared carrying capacity, while a scrolling strip beneath it plots total population and Shannon diversity over time. Dragging species richness, habitat health or disturbance rate changes the equations exactly as in the 3D version, but here you watch the underlying dynamics directly instead of inferring them from a crowd of icosahedra.
