🌍 Earth's 4.5 Billion Years: Faint Sun, Snowballs, Drifting Continents, Moon Tides and Radiometric Clocks

Scrub 4.54 billion years of Earth history on a 3D globe: faint young Sun, ice-albedo snowballs, drifting continents, oxygen, tidal braking of the day and radiometric clocks.

⚙ Under the hood

A 3D time-lapse globe from the Hadean magma ocean to today: scrub 4.54 billion years while an energy-balance model with ice-albedo feedback sets the climate, plates drift at cm/yr, tidal braking lengthens the day and U-Pb, K-Ar and C-14 clocks date a sample from each epoch. Dates are approximate and continent layouts schematic; assets built in Blender 5.2.
