🧪 Cybersecurity Threat Modeling Simulation

Interactive attack-graph threat model: pick an attacker entry point, tune patch level, network segmentation and MFA, and watch a Dijkstra shortest-path algorithm find the cheapest route to a crown-jewel database across a live 3D network graph.

Threat modeling is the practice of mapping how an attacker could actually reach a critical asset — not just listing vulnerabilities in isolation. This simulator builds a real attack graph across eight assets, from three attacker entry points down to a crown-jewel customer database, and runs Dijkstra's shortest-path algorithm to find the cheapest route through it. Adjust patch level, network segmentation and MFA and watch the algorithm re-route in real time as some edges get more expensive to exploit, exactly as attack-graph tools used by real security teams recompute the most likely breach path whenever a control changes.

⚙ Under the hood

This simulation demonstrates the process of threat modeling, a method used to identify potential threats to systems and networks. It illustrates how security professionals analyze risks and prioritize mitigation strategies.
