Cloud Database Exposure: Internet-Wide Scanner Sweep
Deploy a cloud database as either open/misconfigured or properly firewalled and watch a simulated internet-wide scanner sweep the address space, discovering and exfiltrating from the exposed one within a short window while the firewalled one bounces every probe forever.
Automated internet-wide scanners continuously sweep every reachable IPv4 address and port, not looking for anyone in particular. This simulator deploys a cloud database with a network configuration you choose — wide open with no authentication, or firewalled to a specific IP allow-list — onto a live global scan sweep. Watch the sweep front cross the database's address: an open database gets fingerprinted and exfiltrated by an automated bot within a short, predictable window, while a firewalled database bounces every single probe with a refused connection, sweep after sweep.
