IoT Fleet Encryption & Key Rotation (2D)
2D top-down view of a sensor-to-gateway IoT fleet: pick a cipher (none, AES-128, AES-256, ChaCha20-Poly1305), set the key-rotation interval and packet rate, pan and zoom the ring, and watch the real energy, bandwidth and key-exposure tradeoffs play out live.
A ring of sensor devices streams packets to a central gateway, and every design choice you'd actually face building an IoT product is exposed as a live control: which cipher runs on the device (plaintext, AES-128-CCM, AES-256-GCM or ChaCha20-Poly1305), how many devices are in the fleet, how fast they report, and how often the session key rotates. This top-down 2D view computes the same real engineering tradeoff as the 3D lab — radio and cryptography energy per packet, battery life on a fixed cell, header/tag bandwidth overhead, and the practical key-exposure window versus the (essentially irrelevant) theoretical brute-force time — updating every number as packets fly across the ring and the key visibly rotates at the gateway. Pan and zoom the scene freely; the physics never depends on the view.
