Social Account Takeover Detection: Login Risk Scoring (2D)
Interactive 2D login-risk-scoring simulator: pan and zoom a flat world map, trigger synthetic social-media login events, and score each one live with a real impossible-travel + device + failed-attempt risk formula — with the 3D sim's velocity-cap bug fixed so an extreme impossible-travel event alone can actually cross the auto-lock threshold.
This 2D companion to the 3D login-risk-scoring globe drives the same underlying model — every synthetic login event for one simulated account is scored live with a composite risk formula that combines geographic velocity ("impossible travel" between two logins too far apart in too little time), whether the device is new, how many failed attempts preceded it, and whether the login hour is unusual — but plots events on a flat, pannable and zoomable world map instead of a rotating sphere, and fixes a real inconsistency in the 3D version's formula: an inner clamp that silently capped velocity's own contribution to the score at 50 out of 100, so no impossible-travel event, however extreme, could ever cross the default auto-lock threshold by itself. Switch between a normal-traffic scenario, a simulated impossible-travel takeover, and a credential-stuffing burst, tune the auto-lock threshold, drag and scroll the map to inspect events up close, and watch which logins get silently escalated to step-up verification versus fully blocked.
