Online multiplayer games can never trust a client's reported position outright — an anti-cheat system has to validate every movement tick against the rules of the game and flag statistical outliers in real time. This top-down 2D simulator visualizes that pipeline: a patrolling player reports its position every tick, the server checks the displacement against the maximum allowed speed, and a rolling z-score anomaly detector scores how unusual the move is against recent history. Switch the player between legitimate movement, a speed hack, and a teleport hack, tune the detector's sensitivity, and toggle server-authoritative reconciliation on and off to see the difference between a server that blindly trusts the client and one that clamps and corrects it — with a live trust score that decays under sustained anomalies and triggers a kick when it bottoms out. Drag to pan the arena and scroll (or pinch) to zoom.
