Mobile-automotive integration — CarPlay, Android Auto, and proprietary connected-car systems — puts a phone's UI inside a moving vehicle, and every tap on that UI is a moment the driver's eyes leave the road. This simulator turns a touchscreen task into a physically grounded sequence of glances: each glance's duration comes from Fitts's Law based on the touch target size you choose, the cumulative eyes-off-road time is checked live against NHTSA's 2-second single-glance and 12-second cumulative-task guidelines, and the resulting "blind distance" (speed × time) is compared against a real gap to a vehicle ahead — close it while your eyes are still down and the task ends in a collision.
