Mobile backup policy is usually sold as one number — "we back up every few hours" — but a real incident is governed by two independent objectives. This simulator lays out a 24-hour timeline of an app's data store, drops periodic backups onto it at whatever interval you choose, and lets you strike a disaster anywhere along that line. It computes the Recovery Point Objective (how much data since the last backup is gone for good) and the Recovery Time Objective (how long pulling everything else back down actually takes, given your restore bandwidth), then animates the real recovery: data flowing from the last surviving backup back onto the device at the rate you set.
