Mobile onboarding advice always says "don't dump all the features at once" — this 2D mockup shows exactly why, as computed numbers rather than opinion. Two phone screens sit side by side, each running its own cohort of 24 synthetic users with their own working-memory capacity, through the same five-screen onboarding flow, one showing every UI element the instant a screen opens and the other revealing them gradually. Every element — headline, illustration, feature callout, permission prompt — carries its own real cognitive-load weight, summed live into a working-memory load meter and compared against each user's Miller's-Law capacity. Cross that capacity and a real linear-past-capacity penalty formula (a Yerkes-Dodson-style degradation) slows simulated task-completion time, raises error rate and increases abandonment — watch the dump side spike red while progressive disclosure holds its meter under the line and its stats stay healthy.
