🧪 Geography Climate Simulation
Set mean annual temperature, precipitation and seasonality and watch the real Köppen-Geiger climate classification algorithm assign a code and grow the matching 3D landscape — rainforest, desert, tundra, taiga and more.
Climate is what makes a place look the way it looks: the same rock and rainfall that build a rainforest elsewhere build a desert here. This simulation runs a simplified version of the real Köppen–Geiger climate classification — the system geographers actually use to divide the world into climate zones — on four numbers you control: mean annual temperature, total precipitation, how much temperature swings across the year, and how unevenly rain falls across the seasons. The algorithm walks through the same aridity threshold, temperature bands, and dry-season tests used on real weather-station data, prints out a genuine Köppen code such as Af, BWh, Cfb or Dfc, and then grows a matching 3D landscape in front of you — rainforest canopy, desert dunes and scrub, steppe grassland, taiga conifers, or bare tundra and ice — so you can see how geography and climate are two sides of the same set of equations.
Investigate how climate patterns shape geographical features. This simulation allows you to model different climates and observe their impact on landscapes and ecosystems.
