🌡️ Urban Heat Island Control (2D)
2D urban heat-island lab: a real advection-diffusion heat model over a city grid where cool-roof albedo, tree canopy, building canyon geometry and wind speed drive a live day/night temperature map.
This 2D companion solves a genuine advection–diffusion heat-balance model over a city grid instead of decorating a static skyline: drag cool-roof albedo, tree-canopy cover, building canyon geometry (height-to-width ratio) and wind speed, and watch a live temperature heatmap respond as a simulated day/night cycle runs — the urban-heat-island intensity readout (urban core minus rural baseline) swells after dark, when narrow building canyons trap outgoing longwave radiation, exactly as the real phenomenon behaves.
