Glacial Moraine & Till Deposition — 2D Plan-View Field Simulator
A top-down 2D field simulation of glacial conveyor-belt debris transport: watch till thickness build up cell-by-cell across a plan-view grid of the valley floor as ice speed, debris supply and climate mass balance change.
A top-down, map-view take on the glacial conveyor-belt model: debris parcels are advected downstream through a flowline velocity field and melt out at the ice margin, but instead of an extruded 3D ridge, the deposited till is tracked as a genuine two-dimensional (downstream × lateral) thickness field, shaded cell by cell as it accumulates — a terminal moraine grows as a bright ridge across the valley floor exactly where the physics puts the debris.
A top-down 2D plan-view field simulation of glacial conveyor-belt debris transport: debris parcels advect downstream through the same flowline velocity profile as the 3D model, but deposited till is tracked as a true two-dimensional (downstream x lateral) thickness field, shaded cell by cell as a terminal moraine ridge grows across the valley floor.
