Redox Indicator Color-Change Endpoint

Interactive 3D redox titration: watch a redox indicator flip color inside a beaker as electrode potential rises, and see how far its color-change endpoint drifts from the true equivalence point for different indicators and redox couples.

This simulator models the moment a redox titration is actually called "done" in a real lab: not the true equivalence point, which is invisible, but the volume at which a redox indicator visibly changes color. A beaker rendered in 3D holds hundreds of individually-tracked indicator molecules that flip between their reduced and oxidized colors as the solution's electrode potential — computed from the Nernst equation for both the titrated redox couple and the indicator itself — sweeps past each molecule's personal threshold. Adjust the two half-reaction potentials and swap between ferroin, diphenylamine and methylene blue to see how indicator choice determines whether the visible color change lands on top of the true equivalence volume or drifts away from it, with the live curve chart and endpoint-error readout making the mismatch explicit.
