🧪 Chemistry Physical Chemistry Simulation
Interactive 3D simulator of Raoult's Law: watch solvent molecules evaporate from an ideal binary solution and see how partial and total vapor pressure fall as solute mole fraction rises, with live Clausius-Clapeyron-scaled readouts.
This simulation demonstrates the application of physical chemistry principles to understand chemical phenomena such as thermodynamics and kinetics: it renders an ideal binary solution as a molecular surface, where non-volatile solute spheres physically block solvent molecules from evaporating. Dragging the solute mole-fraction slider reduces the escaping vapor exactly as Raoult's Law predicts (P = x·P°), while the temperature slider rescales the pure-solvent vapor pressure through the Clausius-Clapeyron relation, keeping the two thermodynamic laws visibly consistent with each other in real time.
This simulation demonstrates the application of physical chemistry principles to understand chemical phenomena such as thermodynamics and kinetics. It illustrates fundamental chemical laws.
