Scandium Solvent Extraction: Kremser Cascade & McCabe-Thiele Staircase (2D)
2D countercurrent solvent-extraction lab for scandium recovery from laterite leach liquor: a live McCabe-Thiele staircase built from the Kremser equation, an O/A ratio, extractant selectivity and feed-acidity you control, and a stage-by-stage raffinate concentration profile.
This 2D companion turns the same mixer-settler solvent-extraction cascade shown in the 3D version into a McCabe-Thiele stage diagram you can actually read: a side panel exposes the organic-to-aqueous flow ratio, the extractant's selectivity for scandium over the co-leached iron and aluminium, the feed's free acidity and the number of countercurrent stages, a live Kremser-equation calculation drives a proper equilibrium/operating-line staircase construction, and a stage-by-stage bar profile shows the aqueous scandium concentration falling toward the raffinate value — with a separate strip-stage readout — so the chemistry that decides how much scandium you recover, and how much iron and aluminium you drag along with it, is directly visible instead of implied.
