🧪 Fluorspar Flotation (2D)

A plain cross-section view of a froth-flotation cell: ground fluorite ore falls through the pulp, bubbles rise from the aerator, and only liberated hydrophobic CaF₂ grains attach and float into the froth while gangue sinks to tailings.

This 2D companion drives the same froth-flotation mechanic as the 3D version through a plain canvas cross-section: bubbles rise from an aerator at the bottom of the cell, ground ore particles fall through the pulp, and only liberated, reagent-coated CaF₂ grains attach to a bubble on collision and ride it up into the froth — locked grains and gangue stay hydrophilic and settle to tailings, with a little gangue mechanically entrained into the froth when foam load runs high.

⚙ Under the hood

2D froth-flotation cell: bubble–particle collision probability set by grind (liberation) and collector dosage, gangue entrainment rises with foam load, live concentrate grade and CaF₂ recovery readouts.
