🧪 Copper Solvent Extraction (2D)

A 2D mixer-settler view of copper solvent extraction: tune O/A ratio, extractant concentration, mixer speed and pH, and watch Cu ions cross from aqueous into organic phase across a three-stage countercurrent cascade before stripping into the electrolyte tank.

What It Demonstrates

The same copper solvent-extraction chemistry as the 3D version, read from a flat mixer-settler diagram: aqueous leach liquor and loaded organic reagent cross three cascade stages, with copper ions probabilistically transferring phase at each settler before the loaded organic strips into the electrolyte tank.

How to Use

Drag the O/A ratio, extractant concentration, mixer speed and extraction pH sliders to change how much copper crosses per stage. Watch the transfer %, electrolyte concentration and raffinate readouts respond live, and use Pause or Reset to inspect a frozen cascade.

⚙ Under the hood

Three mixer-settler stages modeled as a countercurrent cascade, with per-stage extraction efficiency derived from the same O/A ratio, extractant concentration, mixer speed and pH relationship as the 3D original, so both pages agree on overall Cu transfer.
