A 3D solar wax melter cutaway where honey-frame cappings melt under heat, drain down a tilted tray, pass through a filter screen and drip into a collecting pan as clean, market-ready beeswax.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Each capping fragment shrinks as it melts, feeding a molten pool that drains toward a filter screen; the screen catches slumgum debris while clean wax collects below, its clarity depending on filter fineness and flow speed.

🎮 How to Use

Adjust melter heat, tray tilt, filter fineness and batch size to see how fast the wax melts, how much debris the screen catches, and how clear the collected wax becomes. Toggle the glass lid to trap solar heat.

💡 Did You Know?

Cappings wax has never held pollen, propolis or brood, so it renders out lighter and cleaner than old comb wax — many beekeepers keep it separate to sell at a premium for candles and cosmetics.
