🌼 Native Plant Gardens and Habitat Restoration Calendars for Pollinators
A 3D native pollinator garden bed where ten UK wildflower species bloom in succession across the year — scrub the calendar month, switch climate zone and watch bloom coverage and pollinator traffic respond.
A 3D native pollinator garden bed planted with ten UK wildflower species, each with its own real bloom window — scrub the calendar month or switch climate zone and watch the succession of flowering plants and visiting pollinators respond.
🔬 What It Demonstrates
Each species opens and closes its blooms only inside its natural flowering window, and the climate-zone control shifts every window earlier or later, exactly as a real planting calendar must be adjusted for a colder upland site or a milder coastal one.
🎮 How to Use
Drag the calendar-month slider or press Play year to watch flowers open and close in sequence. Toggle pollinator traffic to see bee and butterfly visits track bloom coverage, and enable gap highlighting to spot months with too few species flowering.
💡 Did You Know?
A single "pollinator mix" that all blooms in June can look spectacular for three weeks and then leave a hungry gap for the rest of the season — real restoration calendars stagger species so something is always flowering from late winter to autumn.
