🦎 Skink Sand Burrow Lab (2D)

This 2D companion swaps the 3D original's decorative WebGL animal-lab shell for the mechanic its title actually promises: a skink that heats up on open sand and cools in a burrow via Newton's law of cooling, must dig new shelters, forage for food, and evade a hawk that dives when it lingers too long in the open.

⚙ Under the hood

Body temperature integrates dT/dt = k(T_env − T_body) toward ground temperature (a sine-driven day cycle) or a buffered burrow temperature; energy drains with movement, digging and overheating, and regenerates while sheltering.
