Boreal Wolf Pack Pincer Hunt (2D)
Top-down boreal wolf pack hunt: the pack tests a deer herd's edges to find the weakest individual, then splits into a pincer that encircles it from multiple angles and closes the ring — the real herd-testing and encirclement strategy wolves use instead of a straight chase.
This 2D companion replaces the 3D scene's decorative wander-around-the-forest visuals with the actual cooperative-hunting mechanic boreal wolves are known for: herd-testing followed by encirclement. Rather than a single chase, the pack probes the deer herd's edges, letting stamina reveal the weakest individual, then fans out into a shrinking pincer ring that closes off escape from every direction at once. Tune pack size, herd size and ring-closing speed and watch the success rate respond.
Top-down 2D pack-hunting simulation: a flocking deer herd flees wolves that first test its edges to find the lowest-stamina target, then lock on and converge from equally spaced angles on a ring that shrinks around the target until capture or the target breaks free.
