Carnivorous Plant Simulator (2D)
2D Venus flytrap: click a trigger hair to test the plant's mechanotransduction 'counting' mechanism, watch a trap snap shut and digest prey, and tune trigger sensitivity and digestion time.
This 2D companion draws the same Venus flytrap as a flat, always-readable scene instead of a rotatable 3D pot: click a trigger hair on any open trap and watch the plant's real "counting" mechanism play out — a single bend does nothing, but a second bend within its short memory window fires the calcium threshold that snaps the lobes shut, after which the trap digests for a while and reopens on its own. The trigger-sensitivity and digestion-time sliders drive the same underlying thresholds as the 3D version, so the two views stay behaviorally in sync while trading a mouse-orbit camera for a plan you can read at a glance.
2D Venus flytrap where clicking a trigger hair tests the plant's real mechanotransduction 'counting' mechanism before a trap snaps shut and digests its catch.
