🚁 Quadcopter Flight Dynamics (2D)
A side-view force-and-torque model of quadcopter flight: throttle sets total thrust, a differential-tilt slider commands pitch torque the way real motor-speed asymmetry does, and a turbulent wind slider pushes the airframe against quadratic drag — with live telemetry and a battery that really runs out.
This 2D companion trades the 3D version's orbiting camera and cosmetic dust-swirl for a side-on force-and-torque model you can actually read: a lumped thrust vector always points along the drone's own body axis, a differential-tilt slider commands pitch torque the way asymmetric motor speeds do on a real quadcopter, and quadratic drag plus a turbulent two-wave wind force push back against every motion. A live telemetry panel reads out altitude, tilt angle, both velocity components, total thrust and battery charge in real time, and — unlike a purely decorative gauge — the battery actually drains faster under load and cuts the motors at zero, so a hard climb has a real cost.
2D side-view quadcopter flight lab: differential-thrust attitude control, quadratic drag and wind gusts drive a real force-and-torque model, with throttle, tilt and wind sliders plus live telemetry.
