MCP Protocol Router: 2D Wire Diagram
Interactive 2D wire-diagram simulator of the Model Context Protocol (MCP): watch JSON-RPC 2.0 requests and responses travel between an LLM host and multiple MCP servers, with tunable network latency, jitter, packet loss and a live round-trip strip chart.
The Model Context Protocol standardises how an LLM host reaches outside its own weights to real tools, files and data. This 2D companion renders the host at the centre of a flat wire diagram, connected to four representative MCP servers — a filesystem, a GitHub API, a SQL database and a web-search index — and animates every JSON-RPC 2.0 request and its matching response as a glowing packet arcing along the wire in real time. Pick a server and a method, fire requests manually or let an auto-request rate keep several exchanges in flight concurrently, tune network latency, jitter and packet loss, and watch a live strip chart of round-trip time build up as completed requests accumulate.
