UK Beekeeping Law: Registration & Disease Zone Simulator (2D)
2D top-down apiary map: a statutory notifiable-disease movement-restriction zone drawn around an outbreak, and which BeeBase-registered vs unregistered apiaries fall inside it.
This 2D companion keeps the same core mechanic as the 3D map: an outbreak point is placed on a survey area, a statutory movement-restriction zone of a realistic radius is drawn around it (3km for Foulbrood, up to 10-16km for an exotic pest like Small Hive Beetle), and every apiary within that circle is flagged — with unregistered apiaries staying invisible to BeeBase-based contact tracing even though they remain legally bound. The 2D view swaps the orbiting 3D scene for a flat, readable top-down map so the geometry of "who is inside the zone" is immediate, with the same live readout of apiaries in zone, unregistered apiaries in zone, and estimated inspector visits per day.
2D top-down apiary-compliance lab: a circle-inclusion test against a disease-specific restriction radius, a BeeBase registration-rate slider, and a derived inspector-workload estimate from the registered apiaries caught inside the zone.
