❤️ Heart and Circulation (2D)

A top-down pulse-and-flow model: the heart contracts in a lub-dub cycle timed by a heart-rate slider, and that same pulse speeds up blood cells streaming around the vessel loops.

This 2D companion drives the same "lub-dub" Gaussian pulse cycle as the 3D original in a flat top-down view: a control panel exposes heart rate, vessel-loop count, cells per vessel and base flow speed, and a live readout tracks elapsed time, beat count, pulse phase and the current flow-speed multiplier as blood-cell dots stream around the vessel loops, accelerating sharply with every beat.

⚙ Under the hood

The heart's contraction is two Gaussian "bump" functions summed over the beat cycle (a fast "lub" and a smaller "dub"), scaling both the heart's outline and the flow speed of blood cells travelling along parametric vessel loops — the same formulas the 3D engine uses to drive its beat and flow.
