🛗 Inclusive Beekeeping: Hive-Lift Ergonomics (2D)

2D adaptive-apiary lift lab: pick a lever, screw-jack or block-and-tackle hive lift, set hive weight and platform height, and read the real mechanical-advantage effort force and ADA-based reach-zone accessibility live.

This 2D companion turns the 3D adaptive apiary station into a working assistive-engineering calculator: choose a lever, screw-jack or block-and-tackle hive lift, set the hive's load weight and the platform's working height, and switch between a wheelchair-seated and a standing posture. The panel computes the mechanism's real mechanical advantage and the resulting effort force at the operator's hand, and separately checks the platform height against the posture's published ergonomic reach zone — showing that an easy lift and a comfortable, accessible reach are two different engineering problems that both have to be solved together.

⚙ Under the hood

2D hive-lift ergonomics lab: lever, screw-jack and block-and-tackle mechanical-advantage formulas (with real friction-efficiency factors) compute the effort force needed to raise a 10–32 kg hive load, while an ADA/ergonomic reach-zone model checks whether the resulting platform height stays within safe, comfortable reach for a wheelchair-seated or standing beekeeper.
