Spectral Analysis (2D)

Build a signal from up to six harmonics, run it through a radix-2 FFT with selectable windowing, and watch the live spectrogram track how the spectrum changes over time.

This 2D companion runs the same radix-2 FFT the 3D version does, drawn on plain canvas panels instead of WebGL: a harmonic list builds the time-domain signal, a bar-style magnitude spectrum shows |X[k]|, and a scrolling heatmap spectrogram reveals how that spectrum evolves — useful for seeing windowing trade-offs and chirp sweeps without a 3D scene in the way.

⚙ Under the hood

Canvas2D companion: builds a signal from up to six harmonics, runs a recursive radix-2 Cooley–Tukey FFT with selectable windowing (rectangular/Hann/Hamming/Blackman), and renders a live STFT spectrogram.
