Galvanic & Electrolytic Cell Simulator (2D)

2D electrochemical-cell lab: real standard reduction potentials, the Nernst equation for non-standard concentrations, and a live electron/ion flow animation driven by an actual computed cell potential, for both galvanic and electrolytic operation.

This 2D companion runs the same electrochemistry as the 3D version through a schematic two-beaker canvas view: pick any two metal/ion half-cells from a real standard-reduction-potential table, dial each ion's concentration to see the Nernst equation shift the voltmeter reading, and toggle between a spontaneous galvanic cell and an externally driven electrolytic one — the electron-flow animation, cathode/anode assignment and current magnitude are all computed live from the actual E°cell and Nernst corrections, not decorative battery symbols.

⚙ Under the hood

2D electrochemical-cell lab with a real standard-reduction-potential table, Nernst-equation concentration correction, and galvanic/electrolytic mode switching that determines cathode/anode assignment and current direction from the actual computed cell potential.
