Wrasse Cleaning Station Lab (2D)
2D cleaner-wrasse simulation: fish steer toward remembered reef cleaning stations, service a queue of client fish, and trade swim distance for energy and cleaning contacts.
This 2D companion turns the cleaner-wrasse/client-fish relationship into an explicit queueing-and-steering model: wrasse pick the nearest station with a waiting client and blend a direct heading with a wander term controlled by the station-memory slider, service each client for a fixed duration, and pay an energy cost proportional to distance swum — so a crowded reef with low station memory visibly drains the wrasse faster than one where fish beeline for known stations.
Agents steer toward a queue of client fish spawned at two fixed cleaning stations; heading blends a direct vector to the target with a wander term weighted by the station-memory slider, and energy trades off against distance swum and completed cleaning contacts.
