Rotating Space Station: Coriolis Ball-Toss Simulator (2D)
2D rotating-habitat lab: set the station's spin rate and ring radius, throw a ball across it in any direction, and watch the real Coriolis force curve its path β with live artificial-gravity, rim-speed and landing-deflection readouts.
The 3D original behind this page is a decorative "space entertainment venue" dashboard with sliders that don't drive any real physics. This 2D companion swaps that out for the genuine mechanic a spinning space station actually has: a habitat ring rotates to fake gravity via centrifugal acceleration, and anything thrown across it β a ball in a game of catch β visibly curves off course because of the Coriolis force, exactly as it would for a real station crew.
RK4-integrated equations of motion in the station's rotating reference frame (centrifugal + Coriolis acceleration only, no attached force after release), rendered so the ring stays visually still while the ball's path bends.
