3D Linac Output Calibration QA

Orbit a real Three.js water phantom — the same TG-51/TRS-398 temperature-pressure correction (Ptp) and cGy/MU output formula as the 2D QA simulator, now a genuine 3D scene you can fly around while the tolerance gauge responds live.

This is the 3D companion to the Linear Accelerator Output Calibration QA Simulator: the same TG-51 / TRS-398 absolute-dosimetry formulas — the temperature-pressure correction Ptp = (273.2+T)/(273.2+22.0) × (101.33/P), the combined correction product Ptp·Pion·Ppol, and the resulting output in cGy per monitor unit — now drive a genuine, freely-orbitable Three.js water phantom instead of a flat side-on canvas. A Farmer-type ion chamber sits at the real 10 cm reference depth below the water surface while a linac head above fires beam pulses down toward it; move the chamber-temperature and barometric-pressure sliders and watch the measured output, the percentage deviation, and the 3D tolerance-gauge needle respond exactly as they do in the 2D version — plus a third control, delivered MU, that scales the live absolute dose readout using the same D = output × MU relationship used throughout the original simulator.

⚙ Under the hood

The exact TG-51/TRS-398 correction-factor chain from the 2D original (Ptp, fixed Pion/Ppol, cGy/MU output, ±2% tolerance check) drives a real Three.js water-phantom scene: a submerged ion chamber at the true 10cm reference depth, an animated linac beam, and a genuine 3D tolerance gauge whose needle angle is computed live from the same deviation formula.
