🧠 Memory Palace in 3D — Forgetting Curve & Spaced Repetition Simulator
3D companion to the memory-techniques simulator: walk a method-of-loci corridor where the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve R(t)=e^(-t/S) decays each item's recall in real time, and spaced review deepens memory strength.
The 2D original at this id was an unbuilt placeholder page ("simulation coming later"), so this 3D companion implements the real mechanic its title and description promise: Hermann Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve, R(t) = e^(−t/S), where R is the probability of recall, t is days since last review and S is memory strength in days. Each of the loci around the 3D corridor tracks its own t and S; reviewing an item (by clicking its glowing pedestal) resets t to zero and multiplies S by a technique-dependent boost — modelling how mnemonic encoding and spaced review measurably slow forgetting compared to rote repetition, the same relationship studied in spaced-repetition research (e.g. the SM-2 algorithm's easiness factor).
