Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia: How Breathing Paces the Heart (2D)

A 2D companion lab: scrolling breathing and heart-rate traces show how heart rate climbs on inhale and falls on exhale, and how slow breathing near the baroreflex resonance amplifies the swing.

This 2D companion drives the same baroreflex-lag heart-rate model as the 3D lab through two scrolling strip charts instead of a rotating scene: a top trace plots the breathing waveform, a bottom trace plots instantaneous heart rate, and a pulsing heart icon tracks the beat live — so the rise on inhale and fall on exhale, and the amplification near the ~6 breaths/min resonance, are read directly off the lines rather than watched as pulsing 3D shapes.
