Reading the Mood of the Hive (2D): Bioacoustic Sensor Lab

A 2D top-down hive companion: bee movement, buzz frequency, a spectrum readout and an oscilloscope waveform all shift together as modelled colony agitation rises from a calm hum toward a swarming exodus.

This 2D companion drives the same agitation-linked bioacoustic model as the 3D version through a plain top-down canvas: a hex comb with orbiting bees, a live frequency-spectrum bar chart and an oscilloscope-style waveform all respond to one underlying agitation value, and past a threshold a stream of bees pours out of the entrance to echo a real swarm exodus.

⚙ Under the hood

2D bioacoustic sensor lab: buzz frequency, sound level and vibration are derived from a single modelled agitation value that drives bee flight speed, a synthetic spectrum and waveform, and a swarm-exodus stream at high agitation.
