Magnetic Hysteresis Loop (2D)

2D magnetic-hysteresis lab: a rate-limited B(H) saturation model traces the real B-H loop for four ferromagnetic materials, with live coercivity, remanence and loop-area (energy-loss) readouts as you sweep the applied field.

This 2D companion drives the same rate-limited B(H) saturation model as the 3D version through a plain canvas plot built for reading the loop rather than watching rotating domain arrows: a live B-H trace splits into a rising branch and a falling branch that visibly separate by the coercivity offset, five material presets (including a fully custom coercivity slider) show how soft transformer-core materials trace a narrow low-loss loop while hard permanent-magnet materials trace a wide one, and numeric readouts for saturation, remanence, coercivity and loop area (the energy dissipated per cycle) update every frame from the traced curve itself.
