Merrill-Crowe Precipitation (2D)

2D Merrill-Crowe lab: dose zinc dust and a lead nitrate activator into a deaerated gold cyanide leach solution and watch the 2Au(CN)2- + Zn cementation reaction recover gold in real time, with a live efficiency and zinc-consumption readout.

This 2D companion drives the real Merrill-Crowe cementation chemistry through a schematic process-flow canvas rather than an orbiting 3D plant: a side panel exposes zinc dust dosage, deaeration vacuum, lead nitrate activator and feed gold grade, and animated gold-cyanide ions flow from the clarifier through the deaeration tower into the zinc cone, converting to solid gold nuggets at a rate driven by the same effective-zinc and residual-oxygen model the live readout reports, so cause and effect between dosing and gold recovery is directly visible instead of implied.

⚙ Under the hood

2D Merrill-Crowe precipitation lab modelling the 2Au(CN)2- + Zn -> 2Au + Zn(CN)4(2-) cementation reaction: residual dissolved oxygen after vacuum deaeration consumes zinc via a parasitic side reaction, zinc dust dosed above the ~0.166 g Zn per g Au stoichiometric ratio drives recovery, and lead nitrate activates the zinc surface for faster cementation.
