Biosensor Binding Kinetics Simulator

Interactive biosensor simulator: watch analyte molecules bind and unbind a receptor-coated sensor chip in real time, following the real Langmuir association/dissociation rate equation used to read SPR and QCM sensorgrams, with concentration, kon, koff and injection/wash phase all tunable.

A biosensor works by pairing a biorecognition layer — enzymes, antibodies, DNA probes or whole cells — with a transducer that turns a binding event into a readable signal. This simulator visualizes the biorecognition step itself: analyte molecules diffuse above a receptor-coated chip and bind or release according to the real Langmuir association/dissociation rate equation (dθ/dt = konC(1−θ) − koffθ), the same model used to fit SPR and QCM sensorgrams in a real lab. Adjust analyte concentration and the kon/koff rate constants, then switch between the injection and wash phases to see how affinity (Kd = koff/kon) shapes both the equilibrium response and how quickly the signal rises and falls.

⚙ Under the hood

Watch analyte molecules bind and unbind a receptor-coated biosensor chip in real time, driven by the real Langmuir association/dissociation rate equation used to read SPR and QCM sensorgrams. Tune concentration, kon and koff, then switch between injection and wash phases.
