Lunar Marine Biology Simulator (2D)

A flat cutaway of a hypothetical subsurface lunar ocean beneath the ice shell: tune shell thickness, hydrothermal vent heat and tidal flexing and watch the vent plume and habitability zone respond live.

This 2D companion drives the same tidal-heating and vent-flux formulas as the 3D version through a flat cutaway view: ice shell, ocean and rocky core are stacked bands, a vent chimney at the core injects a rising particle plume, and microbe particles cluster near the vent mouth only when the computed habitability score is high — letting you read the physics of a subsurface ocean world without orbiting a 3D scene.

⚙ Under the hood

2D cross-section of a hypothetical subsurface lunar ocean: ice-shell/ocean/core bands, a hydrothermal vent plume and a habitability-gated microbe layer, driven by the same tidal-heat and vent-flux formulas as the 3D original.
