⚙ Under the hood

This is the same clinical scoring model as the 2D SOFA calculator: six organ systems — respiratory (PaO₂/FiO₂), coagulation (platelets), liver (bilirubin), cardiovascular (MAP/vasopressor dose), CNS (Glasgow Coma Scale) and renal (creatinine) — are each mapped to a published 0–4 sub-score using the exact SOFA thresholds (Vincent et al. 1996), summed to a 0–24 total and compared against published SOFA-to-mortality risk bands. In 3D, each organ system becomes a real extruded pillar arranged in a ring, its height and color driven live by that organ's sub-score, while a central icosahedral core pulses and recolors with the illustrative mortality band of the current total, and a 3D arc ring fills proportionally to the 0–24 total — all inspectable from any angle via free camera orbit.
