🔬 What It Demonstrates

The stinger's venom sac keeps injecting venom until it is removed or empties on its own after about a minute, so speed of removal matters more than technique. It also contrasts a local skin reaction with the hives, airway swelling, and pallor of anaphylaxis, and shows how epinephrine reverses that escalation.

🎮 How to Use

Drag the time slider forward, choose how the stinger was removed, and pick a reaction severity. In anaphylaxis mode, click "Give epinephrine" to watch hives fade, throat swelling ease, and skin colour recover.

💡 Did You Know?

Because a honeybee's stinger is barbed, it tears free with the venom sac attached — the sac's muscles keep contracting and pumping venom into the skin even after the bee has flown away.
