Walrus Haul-Out (2D)
A top-down colony of walruses hauled out on a pebble beach: bulls jostle neighbors with their tusks for position, adults lumber down to the water to dive for clams, and a calf sticks close to its mother in the pile.
This 2D companion runs the same agent-based haul-out behavior as the 3D scene, seen from above on a plain canvas: each walrus follows a small state machine — resting in the pile, jostling a neighbor with its tusks, lumbering to the water to dive for clams, or lumbering back — so the same social dynamics are visible without a 3D engine.
Top-down Canvas2D walrus colony: a per-animal state machine drives pile-resting, tusk jostling and water dives, with density, clash and dive frequency, and temperature as live controls.
