A 3D apiary where badgers, woodpeckers, wasps, birds and mice visit on a seasonal cycle, each testing whichever defences you have set — hive stand height, an electric perimeter fence and an entrance reducer.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Different wildlife pressures need different countermeasures: fencing and stand height stop ground predators like badgers, while an entrance reducer helps against wasps, mice and birds — but does nothing to stop an aerial woodpecker.

🎮 How to Use

Raise the hive stand, toggle the electric fence and entrance reducer, and pick a season. Watch each visitor either get turned back at the perimeter or reach the hive, and track outcomes in the visit log.

💡 Did You Know?

Woodpecker strikes on hives spike in hard winters when natural food is scarce — hardware cloth around the hive, not fencing or entrance reducers, is the usual fix.
