A live 3D bar chart compares glass, recycled plastic, cardboard and bamboo honey packaging across carbon footprint, unit cost, protection and recyclability, updating as you change shipping distance, reuse cycles and end-of-life route.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Lifecycle carbon footprint is production emissions (amortised over reuse cycles) plus transport emissions (weight × distance) plus an end-of-life adjustment. Heavier, reusable glass and light, disposable plastic trade off very differently as those inputs change.

🎮 How to Use

Adjust shipping distance and reuse/refill cycles, choose an end-of-life route, and pick a metric to highlight. Watch each material's bars rise and fall in real time, and check which container currently has the lowest footprint.

💡 Did You Know?

Because glass can be refilled dozens of times, its per-use footprint can fall below single-use plastic once reuse cycles climb high enough — even though glass starts out heavier and more carbon-intensive to produce.

⚙ Under the hood

An interactive 3D bar-chart lab comparing glass, recycled plastic, cardboard and bamboo honey jars, where shipping distance, reuse cycles and end-of-life route dynamically recompute and animate each material's lifecycle carbon footprint alongside its cost, protection and recyclability scores.
