Marble Trajectory Analysis Tool (2D)
2D marble trajectory lab: a launched marble under gravity and quadratic air drag, numerically integrated with RK4, plotted against the ideal drag-free parabola so you can see exactly how much drag shortens the real range and flight time.
This 2D companion strips the 3D marble-run track down to the core physics question a "trajectory analysis tool" should actually answer: what does air resistance really do to a projectile's path? A marble is launched at an adjustable angle and speed, then numerically integrated (RK4) under gravity and quadratic drag whose strength depends on the marble's own radius and mass — the resulting curve is drawn solid against a dashed ideal parabola computed from the textbook closed-form formulas, and the side panel reads out the real (not idealized) max height, range and time of flight so the gap between theory and drag-affected reality is a measured number, not a guess.
2D projectile lab with RK4-integrated gravity-plus-quadratic-drag equations of motion, a live overlay of the real trajectory against the ideal drag-free parabola, and readouts for actual max height, range and time of flight computed from the integration itself.
