Each stylised grain shape stands in for a real pollen morphology (clover, citrus, manuka, dandelion, and minor taxa). The mixture on the slide changes with floral source, and the panel applies the Louveaux classification used by real melissopalynologists to judge whether a single-origin label is supported.

🎮 How to Use

Pick a floral source to regenerate the slide's pollen mixture, adjust magnification and grain density, and use "Highlight species" to isolate one grain type for counting. Drag to rotate the slide and scroll to zoom.

💡 Did You Know?

Melissopalynologists typically count 500+ grains per slide; honey with abnormally low or absent pollen for its type can be a red flag for over-filtration or blending used to disguise adulterated honey.

A Three.js microscope-slide lab where five instanced pollen-grain morphotypes (clover, citrus, manuka, dandelion, minor taxa) are scattered onto a glass coverslip in proportions drawn from real honey pollen spectra, with a live Louveaux-style predominant/secondary/minor classification checking single-origin label claims.
